At Made of Silver, our story is one of passion, dedication, and craftsmanship. Founded in 1990 in Varna, Bulgaria, by master jeweler Kolyo Marinov, our brand represents over 30 years of expertise in creating exquisite, one-of-a-kind jewelry. Kolyo, along with his wife Vanya and their son Lubo, have devoted their lives to this art, running more than 15 stores over the years. Today, Made of Silver is our family’s treasure trove, where each piece is a testament to Kolyo's unparalleled skill and love for the craft.
A word from the jeweler himself
"Since the first day I set foot into a small jewelry crafting atelier, I knew this was my future. My passion has always been in the fine details. It grew into bringing joy to my customers."
I was only 22 when I first designed my very own piece and 25 when I opened my first store.
Everybody thought I was crazy as nobody in my family was a crafty person. I proved them wrong and now everybody after me will be a crafty person.
I wanted to bring more and more of my visions to life. I started creating new methods to help me work faster then ever. I needed to do it faster to support my family.
Our Journey
1987
Kolyo's love for jewelry started as a hobby and blossomed into a lifelong devotion.
1990
Kolyo opens his very own jewelry store.
1997
Kolyo and his wife Vania’s biggest dream becomes a reality with the birth of their son. At this point in time, they own a small struggling store due to the biggest financial crisis in Bulgaria.
2008
The Marinov family has owned over 15 jewelry stores throughout the city of Varna and three more across the country.
2024
Currently, the family is the proud owner of two jewelry-related websites, each specializing in three different jewelry areas.
